It’s about to get NASTY. The new Hammer Black Widow Nasty is the dirtiest ball motion yet in the Widow line. Send it wide and watch this Widow wheel back without stopping! Hammer’s combination of a new, higher RG Widow core shape, a new Violent Wheel Reactive coverstock and the all new Cover-puck technology is going to redefine the Widow legend.
Hammer’s brand new Cover-puck technology brings this Widow back from almost anywhere. With a higher RG and higher differential core system, this Widow pushes further down the lane but keeps it coming on the backend. Just when you think she’s about to give up the Big Wheel Reactive cover gets this Widow Nasty going on the backend. Hammer is the first brand in bowling to use Cover-puck technology and it pushes the Nasty to new ball motion that wasn’t available with standard Widow cores. You’ll see stronger down-lane motion with breakpoints that are easier to control when we use the Cover-puck system. We’ve also designed our new Widow core system to not only be high in differential but a little lower in mass bias, creating a more drill-friendly bowling ball. While you should still use asymmetric drilling options with the Black Widow Nasty, the movement of the Low Mass Bias mark will not be as critical as in previous Widow intros.

RGs and Differentials
To understand SF and ER ratings in the context of RGs and Differentials, think of a car. If RGs and Differentials are the car’s engine, then veneer is the car’s tires. As a general rule, the lower the RG number (2.45), the quicker the product will pick up its roll. The higher the RG number (2.54), the longer the ball should go down the lane before picking up its roll pattern.
For differentials, the higher the differential number (.058), the greater the overall hook potential. The lower the differential number (.040), the lower the hook potential.
The Hammer Onyx Vibe Bowling Ball pairs up our reliable Vibe symmetric core with a new CT Reactive Plus coverstock. The Onyx Vibe gives bowlers a ball motion that we haven’t had in our Hammer line for quite some time. Bowlers will see a very aggressive arc throughout the entire lane with the Onyx Vibe.
This is by far the most aggressive Vibe made to date. It comes in a very sharp Onyx Sparkle color with Gold Flake engraving.
Raw Hammer Burn continues our mid-price tradition of developing fantastic performing products that look different on the shelf. Starting with the performance, Raw Hammer Burn brings a new coverstock to the lanes for Hammer. Our new Shredder Reactive Pearl coverstock is the most responsive coverstock ever wrapped around a Hammer mid-price ball. Bowlers are going to see extremely good length with our 4000 and Polished finish. But this new cover simply “peels” off of the dry portion of the lane.
I’ve yet to see a mid-price ball perform as good as this one in our line. As I said earlier, we also have a knack for developing unique looking balls in this pricepoint, and Raw Hammer Burn doesn’t disappoint! Our new Yellow/Silver combination is different than anything on the market – just like the Toxic that somebody said wouldn’t sell – just like the Psycho that somebody said wouldn’t sell.

Sting pairs up our proven High Mass Bias Gas Mask Core with a new Black/Blue Violent Flip Reactive coverstock. Bowlers will look to the Sting on heavier to medium-heavy oil, as the Violent Flip Reactive cover is extremely aggressive, and comes sanded at 2000 Grit Abralon. The Sting gives bowlers that signature Black Widow series backend with even more power and aggressiveness.
