Roto Grip Mutant Cell Pearl Ball Reaction Video

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

The progression continues with the introduction of the Mutant Cell Pearl. This next generation Crown line release adds another dimension to the already popular Cell line. The Nucleus II core with its higher RG value and increased intermediate differential creates a much more defined breakpoint than the original, but still features the predictability that has made the Cell line so popular. Enhancing that motion even further is the Cytoplasmic XL pearl reactive coverstock. The combination of increased surface topography and enhanced friction values delivers stronger mid-lane traction with extreme entry angle to the pocket. This latest edition will be the most radical Cell of all…

Roto Grip Dark Star Bowling Ball Video- Bowlerstore.com

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

Value and Performance have always been synonymous with the Roto Grip® brand, and the all new Dark Star™ stands to continue that tradition. Our first goal was to develop a stronger Shield™ Line ball to fit into the Roto Grip® line. The Team felt that there was too big of a gap between the Nomads and the Planet series balls. The intent was to create more mid-lane read with stronger backend motion, so we developed the Photon™ core with a lower RG value and a higher differential.

To enhance this core motion we also added Ultimate Vision™ pearl coverstock to this ball. This performance proven coverstock was found on the EPIC™ and Illusion™ series of balls. It boasts a higher coefficient of friction and surface texture for added traction in the oil and superior backend performance. This combination of core and coverstock was the ideal fit into the line. Our tests showed that it filled the gap between the Nomads and the Planet series balls perfectly. The legacy of value and performance will live on in the new Dark Star™.

Coverstock: Ultimate Vision Pearl Reactive    Weight Block: Photon Core (14-16)
Ball Color: Dark Blue/Purple     Ball Finish: 1500 Polished
Track Flare Potential: 3-4 Inches (Med) on a scale of 1-10 Low-High
Recommended Lane Conditions: Medium-Light Oil

Ebonite Mission Bowling Ball used to win the PBA Tournament of Champions. Kelly Kulick, CHAMPION!

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

The all new Ebonite Mission is the latest Ebonite High Performance Product. The Mission is the most tested product the brand has ever released. With an array of styles and on the widest variety of lane conditions and surfaces available, the Mission has been thoroughly tested and is ready for Launch!

The Ebonite Mission has a new core, Mission 1.0. The Mission 1.0 core design offers dynamic properties that all bowlers look for, Medium RG levels, Medium high differential with a strong intermediate (Mass Bias) potential. With our new cover, XL1200, we have worked very hard with our R & D Department in order to bring to market a cover that not only performs at a high level, but is able to maintain performance longer in the environments that we experience today.

To assist us with achieving these performance criteria, we are using an all new finishing process, 500, 1000, 2000 Abralon Sanded. This procedure yields better performance, for a longer period of time.

Kelly Kulick became the first woman ever to win a PBA Lumber Liqudators Tour Event. Along with this, the Tournament of Champions is one of the 4 PBA Majors. She used the Ebonite Mission Bowling Ball to win the championship and a 2 year PBA Tour Exemption.

Brunswick C System 3.5 Bowling Ball Video- Bowlerstore.com

CFT 3.5 is the next evolution in Chemical Friction Technology. The CFT 3.5 coverstock has a higher friction factor than the original CFT 2.5, which quickens the response time, improves down lane traction and increases the overall hook.

The proven two-component asymmetrical I-Block core enhances the CFT 3.5 coverstock to create maximum forgiveness, strong entry angles along with versatile drilling layouts.

Ball Motion: With its 4000-grit micro pad finish, the C·(System) 3.5 offers a higher friction factor and increased response time to friction alternative than the original C·(System) 2.5. The new C·(System) 3.5 is best used on medium-oily to oily lane conditions when a quicker response motion is needed to increase entry angle to the pocket.

Reaction Setup: The C·(System) 3.5 can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for asymmetric bowling balls. Please visit www.brunswickbowling.com/drilling_information to view the drilling instructions for specific reaction characteristics and layout details.

Storm Invasion Bowling Ball- Get yours today at Bowlerstore.com

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

We are pleased to present 3 Storm Invasion Ball Reaction Videos below.

Storm’s® Premier™ Line continues to be the most successful high performance line of equipment on the market.   From the original El Nino™ and its split density technology to the Paradigm™ and X-Factor™ series with its multi-disc technology and now the performance proven Virtual™ series, we continue to push the limit of technology and innovation.

The Invasion™ features the next generation of advancement in core and coverstock technology.  Our first goal was to develop a strong asymmetrical design different than any other.  The concept was to create contours along the RG planes to ensure a stronger preferred spin axis.  We did this by developing intersecting contoured bands from the X-axis along the Y and Z axes.  These bands are developed at specific arcs to maximize RG and differential values along the planes.  In turn, this translates into a quicker revving core with a more defined moment of inertia or breakpoint unlike any prior design found on the market.

The all new Origin™ core boasts a 2.48 RG value with .057 total differential and a .017 intermediate differential.  Using C.A.T.S., we tested the Origin™ core up against the Shape Lock™-HD core with same coverstock to see the differences, and we were amazed by the results.  The Origin™ core started into the “hook” phase about 3 feet sooner and created a stronger entry angle to the pocket.  Usually when we get the ball started into the “hook” phase sooner we see less entry angle to the pocket, but this core with the contoured bands along the RG planes definitely showed us something different.

The finishing touch to the Invasion™ is the R3X™ coverstock.  This third generation of Reactor™ series coverstock has the highest Ra values ever produced by Storm products.   Based on the USBC Ball Motion Study we know that higher Ra values produce more ball motion in the oil, and this coverstock is no exception.  We saw a 9% increase in friction values in the oil and an increase of 5% down the lane over its predecessor R2X™ utilizing C.A.T.S. testing.
